The Kim Shipton Method is a Reformer Pilates teacher training and education academy providing professional training, workshops, assessments, and continued professional development for Pilates instructors.
The Academy operates from the United Kingdom and delivers education both in‑person and online.

2. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling, paying a deposit, making any payment, or attending any Academy programme, you:
Confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions
Accept that these Terms form a legally binding agreement
Acknowledge that no variation or waiver is valid unless agreed in writing by the Academy
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not enrol or participate.

3. Eligibility & Responsibility
Participants confirm that:
They are physically fit to undertake Reformer Pilates training
They have disclosed any relevant injuries, medical conditions, or limitations
They understand that Pilates teacher training is physically and mentally demanding
You participate entirely at your own risk.

4. Enrolment & Places
Places on all programmes are limited and allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis
A place is not secured until the required deposit or full payment has cleared
The Academy reserves the right to refuse enrolment at its sole discretion

5. Fees, Deposits & Payment
5.1 Fees
All fees are stated in GBP unless otherwise specified
Fees may be paid in full or via approved instalment plans (where offered)
5.2 Deposits
Deposits are non‑refundable under all circumstances
Deposits secure a place only and are deducted from the total fee
5.3 Non‑Refundable Period
All fees become strictly non‑refundable after 14 days from the date of booking
After this period, no refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued for any reason
5.4 Outstanding Balances
All balances must be paid in full before programme commencement
Failure to pay may result in removal from the programme without refund

6. Cancellations, Withdrawals & Transfers
6.1 Participant Cancellation
Cancellations must be submitted in writing
Deposits are never refundable
After the non‑refundable period, no refunds or credits apply
6.2 Transfers
Transfers to another course, date, or participant are not guaranteed and are at the sole discretion of the Academy
Any approved transfer may incur an administrative fee
6.3 Withdrawal During Training
Withdrawal during training does not entitle the participant to any refund, credit, or partial reimbursement

7. Programme Changes & Cancellations by the Academy
The Academy reserves the right to:
Change dates, venues, schedules, instructors, or programme structure
Cancel or postpone programmes if necessary
Where possible, reasonable notice will be given. Liability is limited to rescheduling or credit at the Academy’s discretion.

8. Attendance & Participation Requirements
Full attendance is mandatory unless otherwise stated
Missed sessions may result in:
Additional fees
Required catch‑up sessions
Delayed certification
Late arrival or early departure may count as non‑attendance

9. Assessments, Certification & Results
Certification is not guaranteed
Participants must meet all competency, attendance, and assessment criteria
Assessment decisions are final
Re‑assessments may incur additional fees

10. Conduct & Behaviour
Participants must:
Act professionally and respectfully
Follow Academy instructions at all times
Not disrupt training or other participants
The Academy may remove any participant for inappropriate behaviour, misconduct, or safety concerns without refund.

11. Intellectual Property
All Academy materials, including:
Manuals
Videos
Programming
Branding
Teaching frameworks
Remain the exclusive intellectual property of The Kim Shipton Method.
Participants must not:
Copy, distribute, sell, or teach Academy content
Record sessions without written permission
Breach may result in legal action.

12. Recording & Media Consent
The Academy may record training sessions for:
Education
Marketing
Quality control
By attending, you consent to being recorded and waive any rights to compensation.

13. Health, Safety & Liability
Participation is entirely at your own risk
The Academy is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage except where required by law
Participants must follow all safety instructions
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where prohibited by law.

The Academy does not provide personal insurance
Participants are strongly advised to hold appropriate personal and professional insurance

15. Force Majeure
The Academy is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Acts of God
Illness
Pandemics
Government restrictions
No refunds apply in such circumstances.
